This week saw the club host 30+ cubs from the 23rd Salisbury cubs group. Along with their groups leaders & several of the parents they all got a few rounds of a modified layout of the Amesbury course.
The event has been in the planning for a couple of months after the cubs asked if they could return after trying it out last summer. last year was a very last minute thing which all of the kids enjoyed. However this time the club wanted to do it properly. As always the club members stepped up with 11 on hand. Ensuring that each group had 2 members to help them around. The club also improved on the course set up. 9 shortened holes around the south of the course meaning that it was easy to keep track of the participants. Several members have also spent the last couple of weeks strimming the areas around the fairways to ensure it was easy enough for the kids to find their discs.
The event seemed to go down extremely well & the 23rd Salisbury cubs group have already asked if they can return next year.
